#1 mistake that stops your growth as an artist
That's actually one of my own mistakes and a mistake I see many of my coaching students and other artists make along the way. It's so simple yet very powerful when done right. So what is it? It's your focus
When you don’t have a focus:
Let's imagine that you don’t have a strong focus in your work or business. You work so hard, you put in so many hours of work towards so many different things. But nothing seems to grow, to have somewhat success, to move forward. Why? -you ask yourself.
The answer is: Because you don't have a focus. You do all this work and because you don't have a focus you can't work on one project long enough to see the results. Your content is all over the place, your socials and art is all over the place. If you want to build a strong brand and a successful career as an artist you need to choose what to focus on. Or you'll waste so much time, resources and energy. Believe me, I've been there and it's not pretty or fun.
When you have a focus:
Your Insta and other social media accounts are very clear and they tell ppl exactly who you are and what your account is all about + why they need to follow you. Your art collectors know what kinda artwork to expect from you. Your content is cohesive and serves a purpose. You attract the exact audience you want to attract.
Having a strong and clear focus in your business helps to spend less time working and see more results. It accelerates growth and makes a huge difference in your work/life balance.
How to find the right focus for you?
Ask yourself: what is it you want to focus on and what direction you wanna go with your art, work/business. Then create everything around this focus and always keep this focus in mind.
